Think of vintage, in wine, as the wine's birthday of sorts. Some years are greater than others, and greatness in any given year can vary from producer to producer; region to region. The lighting in a bottle that is captured within any given vintage cannot be replicated---much like iconic pieces or designs within the fashion world.
